My research focuses on biodiversity and conservation economics. My doctoral work established the multi-scale, multi-dimensional conservation cost-benefit analysis model that indexes ecological benefits and then monetizes them to evaluate trade-offs between conservation outcomes and socioeconomic costs across Yunnan province, China. Building on this foundation, my postdoctoral research at Princeton will expand from a provincial analysis to a national assessment of conservation outcomes across China’s emerging national park system, combining large-scale species datasets and socio-economic metrics.
I hold a PhD in Environmental Science from Zhejiang University, an M.A. in public policy from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in environmental economics and policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
